Treasurer’s Report Treasurer Hal McCormick reported to the current state of our account balances.
New Business/Good of the Order Since our Chaplain was excused from this meeting (Brother Rich Stone stood in), Treasurer Hal McCormick was directed to donate $250 to the family of fallen Phoenix Police Officer George V. Cortez on behalf of Tempe FOP Lodge 11. Our prayers are with Officer Cortez and his family.
Mayor Hugh Hallman, also our invited guest, attended the meeting. Mayor Hallman advised he was preparing for reelection and was respectfully seeking our endorsement. Mayor Hugh Hallman has always been a friend of our Lodge. Discussions of this matter will be discussed at September’s meeting. While at the meeting, Mayor Hallman was able to answer many questions from our individual members regarding various City of Tempe issues. You can visit Mayor Hugh Hallman’s web site at www.electhugh.org
President Prendergast advised we had received a check from the State for $325.45, our share of the Law Enforcement License Plate money paid to the State when members buy them for their vehicles. The check was turned over to the Treasurer.
